Post Two

Opening paragraph for post two. A second placeholder article exists so layout decisions can be checked against a different shape of piece: shorter than the lead story, built around a pair of portrait photographs, with enough text between the frames that the page reads as prose rather than as a gallery.

Its second paragraph, measured against the same rules. Substantially more words than the column needs and rather less than the first article carries, so the editorial run can be tested with neither a photograph-heavy nor a text-heavy precedent.

The column resumes after the portrait frame. A portrait sits inside the reading column itself, no wider than the prose, so the caption slot remains free at the edge and the text resumes below the photograph, as this paragraph does.

Another paragraph follows, in the same voice, long enough to carry the eye from the frame above back into the reading rhythm. This is the point where, in a finished piece, the writing has already said something the photograph has not, and there is a line or two to prove it.
